Tonight at 2000hrs, Sultan Park will host ‘Male’ Binveringe Sallaa,’ a gathering for recipients of land plots under the ‘Binveriya’ housing scheme initiated by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. This event is a collaborative effort by four groups: Hulhumale’ Rayyithunge Committee, Male’ Rahvehinge Association, Gulhi Falhu Rayyithunge Association, and Male’ Citizens Association.

Sunadh Latheef, the Vice President of Male’ Citizen’s Association, recently represented these organizations in a meeting with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. He plans to use tonight’s event to communicate the outcomes of his discussion with the President, specifically regarding the progress of the housing scheme.

Additionally, a special message from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will be presented during the gathering.

Following his meeting with the President, Sunadh Latheef shared on social media that he gained significant insights into various aspects of the land projects.

The Binveriya housing scheme, a significant initiative of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration, aimed to allocate 9,000 land plots across locations like Hulhumale Phase 2, Hulhumale Phase 3, Gulhi Falhu, and Giravaru Falhu. The distribution of registries and land plots began during his tenure. Although there was a temporary halt, the distribution of registries has since resumed.
